WHEN DID YOU REALIZE MUSIC WAS A BIG PASSION OF YOURS AND THIS WAS WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE? "I don't know if I ever had a moment like that. I mean, I've always loved music, making it and writing it. I never thought that I would be where I am today, though. I think I can speak on behalf of the others and say that we're all extremely blessed to have made some sort of international name for ourselves - we were more than ready to just settle for a little fame in Iceland, so this is much more than we could have dreamed!"
HOW DID YOU DECIDE BETWEEN SINGING IN ICELANDIC OR ENGLISH? "Good question! I don't think there was ever a discussion on what language we should sing in... it just sort of happened. We really just had stories that we wanted a lot of people to hear and we didn't want to sing exclusively in Icelandic because our hope and dream was to have our music reach more people than just those that reside in Iceland."
MY HEAD IS AN ANIMAL IS ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ICELANDIC ALBUMS IN HISTORY, HOW DOES THAT FEEL? "Oh, wow... I didn't even know that little tidbit, but I have to say that it feels quite nice. When we formed a few years ago, I didn't think that our small band would really go anywhere at all, so it's nice to hear that people are really liking our music and hopefully we won't disappoint with this second album that we're currently working on."
DO YOU FEEL LIKE THERE IS PRESSURE FOR THE SECOND ALBUM TO REACH SUCH HIGH STANDARDS AFTER YOUR DEBUT ALBUM DID SO WELL? "We don't really think in terms of there being any pressure. We're just doing what we love and we just hope that our fans enjoy the newer music that we'll be putting out shortly. We just want to have fun with it. We just want to make something for ourselves rather than worrying about pleasing everyone else, but I suppose there is a little pressure in just that we also want our fans to hear it the way it's intended."
